In response to our customer requirement, Matrixx Company improvised a quick and effective solution of using recycled jumbo bags as Geo-tubes to control soil back fill erosion for construction of a temporary earth embankment for construction of a bridge crossing a river.
The bags were filled with the soil on site and lowered on the upstream side to protect and hold the backfilling material. Upon completion of the construction work, the bags can be easily lifted to allow the natural follow of the river.
The work was successfully completed in record time before the Monsoon season with minimum cost impact. As materials were recycled therefore the solution was environmentally friendly.
