Overview
British Standards (BS EN-206-1/BS 8500) recommends fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) to improve concrete wearing surfaces.

Benefits
- Abrasion Resistance: Significant improvement in abrasion resistance as required for concentrated loads and dynamic loads such as forklift, steel wheel trolley industrial machines and shipping containers.
- Impact Resistance: Concrete by nature is brittle. Presence on fibre in concrete reduces brittleness and improves flexural properties by up to 30%. FRC has the ability to resist impact /shatter forces up to 14 times more than plain concrete. FRC flooring is ideal for warehouse, production areas, cargo terminals, concrete bridges and similar structures.
- Non-conductive Flooring: In comparison to the traditional concrete surface harder such as iron filing (Hardonate) which offer potential conductive medium for the electrical installation, FRC flooring provides safe non-conductive flooring against electrical current.
